Amy (she/her) is a certified Master Facilitator of Intuitive Painting, artist, creative explorer, whimsy chaser, and advocate for creative healing. With over two decades of experience as a community leader and mentor in healing spaces, I support folks who are desperately ready for more... more radical transformations, more permission, more depth, more delight at being alive, more authentic healing, more Embodied Liberation.
Organization Mission: Our mission is to use the Intuitive Painting for Liberation process to empower folks with marginalized identities to spend the time and energy needed to relearn how to heal themselves and repair their nervous systems which are fried, activated, and overburdened by the harshness of existing in the world.
Our philosophy and approach to authentic healing are rooted in the understanding that healing can and must be authentic, consent-based, actively divested from toxic wellness and oppressive force/hyper-productivity, and include the dualities of light/dark, love/justice, ease/discomfort, joy/pain. We know that creative expression is an inherent human characteristic and reclaiming the act of art making is necessary in reclaiming our personal and collective humanity.
Land Acknowledgment: I acknowledge the Confederated Villages of Lisjan Nation, the original and current stewards of this land, who were forcibly removed from their homes and ancestral lands. While I have ancestors who did not come to this land voluntarily, I acknowledge that I still benefit from the colonization of the land of the Chochenyo Muwekma Ohlone people where I currently reside. I pay my shuumi land tax to the Sogorea Te’ Land Trust.
I give gratitude and acknowledgment to this native land of serpentinite, chert, jade, agate, jasper, moonstone, amethyst, epidote, gold, turquoise and rhodonite, vital stop along the migratory route of blue, grey and humpback whales.
